The year is 1885. Two men arrive on a remote British island, searching for a lighthouse keeper who is believed to have gone missing. They soon discover that the island is empty, but strange clues suggest that something terrible might have happened to the keeper before he vanished.

For Josiah Mercer, the mission is personal. The missing lighthouse keeper is his brother, and he's convinced that he would never simply abandon his post.
